Jay came over today (Saturday) and worked on the garage and work shop, cleaning out the accumulation of thirty two years. He made good progress.

Today being memorial day holiday, Jay came over and we painted the back porch. It was a job I was certainly glad to have done and one needing to be done for some time.

Jay came for lunch, we discussed the things that needed to be done in preparing the place for sale. He decided to come here directly from work when he had time and work till dark.

Today was Library day. The work there has been rather slow the last few weeks. When I got home Jay was here and we worked sorting and cleaning the workshop.

Today is my Visiting Teaching partner’s birthday. Fern Ruiz. I went over and fixed her hair for her. Her family was all coming to celebrate her 84th birthday. I did some shopping. Worked on my Relief Society lesson and Jay came after work and did more sorting and cleaning.

Jay and Ted both came today to work. They got everything out of the garage and work shop and washed the walls and everything down so it is ready to paint. I had to irrigate at noon and that was about the time they were ready to wash the walls so we had water, water everywhere. They were wading through irrigation water to wash the garage and workshop. They worked so hard and have done such a good job. There was so much to be taken care of. So much to move and sort and throw away, and keep. It seemed like an impossible job to me but they just pitched in and knew what to do and did it. I am so grateful for them. I love them so much. No one could ask for better children than I have. Three such precious spirits. How did I ever deserve such a blessing.
