Most of the Carpenters are of a quiet, unassuming, uncomplaining disposition - always ready to support any good work.

Interesting to note a common virtue among the men in the family - always showing kindness and thoughtful concern to their companions and children.

Frank Newton Tyler, 1900 Census Graham County, Arizona

husband of Mary Adelia Pace
father of Lucinda Tyler Carpenter, b 4 Apr 1888

This census page includes more than one Tyler family. The first is Oscar (son of Oscar & Harriet) Tyler's family. The second is Frank's family. The page's first entry is Frank's mother-in-law, Ann Webb Pace, a widow age 67 born in England with birthday recorded as Feb 1833. Next is Frank Tyler, a farmer, born Aug 1860 in Utah, age 39 and married to his wife for 18 years. Mary A. born Sep 1864 in Utah, age 39, mother of 8 with only 4 living. After Frank and Mary Adelia we see four children all born in Arizona: daughters Lucinda and Ellen ages 12 and 5, son Delbert age 3 and infant son Jesse. After the children is Amanda, Frank's widowed mother (Harriet Amanda Brown Tyler) age 66, born Nov 1833 in Vermont.

A side note: Jay & Marlene's kids may also notice that an entry for Joseph & Maria Taylor McRae's family follows the one on Frank Tyler's family.
