Most of the Carpenters are of a quiet, unassuming, uncomplaining disposition - always ready to support any good work.

Interesting to note a common virtue among the men in the family - always showing kindness and thoughtful concern to their companions and children.

Ora Carpenter Omerza history, EXTRA #1

I had a very interesting experience when I was 6 or 7 years old. All of a sudden this thought came to me. Questions: Who am I? What am I doing here? and How did I get here in this place at this time? As I wasn’t too well versed in the Gospel I couldn’t answer any of these questions so I tried to dismiss them from my mind. Years later when I understood the plan of salvation these were all answered. I have been so thankful for the Gospel in my life, especially in raising my children. I am so proud of all of them and I feel it was through the principles of the Gospel that helped them get where they are today. I feel I was a little lacking in teaching them faith. It’s so important we understand faith and live by it day by day. It was always hard for me to understand and to believe without doubting. As I grew older I came to understand that there is no room for doubt in faith. If we are to receive a blessing we must believe without any doubt.
