Most of the Carpenters are of a quiet, unassuming, uncomplaining disposition - always ready to support any good work.

Interesting to note a common virtue among the men in the family - always showing kindness and thoughtful concern to their companions and children.

Ora Carpenter Omerza journal, June 21-23, 1982

21 June 1982

I had my work cut out for me this morning. The new kitchen floor needed to have a sealer put on so I did that which took most of the day. Jay came at noon and took the lawn mower apart and told me what parts to get to get it fixed. A bearing was out in the motor.

22 June 1982

This morning Bertha and I went to get the lawn mower parts and in the afternoon I gave Bertha a permanent. Jay came over after work and fixed the lawn mower and did some more on the house.

23 June 1982

Bertha and I went to the Temple today. Its always good to go. We did two sessions then had lunch in the cafeteria.
